Better Base Solutions did an outstanding job of replacing the rotted subfloor in our home. We have a pier and beam foundation and had noticed significant sagging and soft spots in our kitchen and living room. Curtis did an initial inspection and provided a repair bid promptly. His diagnosis and scope of work closely matched an engineer’s assessment of our problem. When the crew arrived, Curtis, Nate, Dalton and another young man worked diligently to remove all the damaged insulation from under our house. Once inside, they ripped out two layers of old flooring and the rotted subfloor. I was extremely impressed at the care they took to remove and reinstall a very large built in bookcase. It took a great deal of effort and maneuvering to move the bookcase without damaging it. The team was always respectful and professional, willing to help with anything we needed to get the job done. I would use Better Base Solutions again if the need arose and highly recommend them to anyone needing foundation work.
Structural Lifting in Junction, TX
Better Base Solutions provides structural lifting for settled or sinking homes in Junction and across the Texas Hill Country.
Expert Structural Lifting in Junction, TX
When a home in Junction starts to sink or shift, structural lifting is the process that brings it back. Better Base Solutions uses piers driven deep into stable soil or bedrock to support the foundation from below. Hydraulic jacks then raise the settled sections back toward their original position. Doors that stick, floors that slope, and walls with cracks are common signs a home needs this work. The Texas Hill Country sits on soil that swings between wet and dry seasons. That cycle causes soil beneath a slab to expand, contract, and pull away unevenly over time. Homes across Junction, Kerrville, Fredericksburg, and surrounding areas feel that pressure year after year. We walk every homeowner through exactly what we find and what the work involves before anything starts. We do not recommend work that is not needed. If you are seeing signs of settlement, contact Better Base Solutions to get a clear picture of what is happening under your home.

Structural Lifting FAQ
Common questions about structural lifting in Junction, TX.
Structural lifting is the right service when part of your home has physically dropped or settled lower than its original position. Sticking doors, sloping floors, and diagonal cracks near door corners in Junction homes are common signs that settlement has occurred.
Lifting the foundation reduces the stress causing those cracks, but cosmetic crack repair is a separate step done after the structure is stable. Homeowners in Kerrville and Fredericksburg often see cracks close partially once the foundation returns toward its original elevation.
Most homeowners in the Austin and Georgetown areas stay in their homes during foundation lifting work. There will be noise and equipment on site, and some areas near the work zone may have limited access.
The soil across the Texas Hill Country expands when wet and contracts when dry, pulling away from the foundation during dry stretches and pushing unevenly during wet ones. That repeated cycle gradually causes sections of a slab or foundation to drop.
